Case Study

McGraw Real Estate

Brian Woods transitioned an aged newspaper building into a real estate location to fit the building style of the area and meet the needs of the company.

The Challenge

Once the historical BA Ledger Newspaper building located in Broken Arrow’s historic Rose District, this older structure was purchased to become a McGraw Realtors office building. Being an older metal building, the aged metal facade on the exterior clashed with the aesthetic of the historic brick buildings in the district. The interior was also dated and in a state of disrepair. The schedule for needed renovations was limited due to the client’s shutting down of an existing office.

The Solution

Brian Woods was hired to perform necessary updates and renovations to the interior as well as the exterior of the building.

The Outcome

Brian Woods replaced a majority of the metal sections on the exterior of the building with a solid brick veneer in order to match the early 1900’s Rose District aesthetic. Before making interior renovations, 70% of the interior was demolished. Working with an interior designer, Robinson Construction rebuilt the entire interior including the offices, a full quarter-sawn white oak kitchen, a leisure area, and training area. All work was performed on budget and on schedule to allow for a timely client transition.
